Here are a few of my current favourites which appear to be all make-up but at the end of this post I will be telling you some of my current favourite songs as I think it's a good way to get to know someone better by knowing what music they listen to, plus I always like to see music favourites when reading other bloggers' favourite posts!
My first make-up favourite is the Real Techniques Contour Brush. I love a good contour and highlight and find this is the perfect brush to sculpt my cheekbones for that signature Kim Kardashian look.
My next two favourites are both eyebrow related, the Collection Eyebrown Definer in Blonde which I use with the Sleek Eyebrow Kit in Light. I've recently been watching so many video on "perfect brows" so I can learn how to make mine look ama-z-ing and find these products help me achieve that perfect brow look I want.
I have also been loving lip liners (Kylie Jenner I blame you) but these two in particular which are MAC's lip pencil in Soar and Rimmel London's Exaggerate lip liner in Eastend Snob. The MAC one is a nudeish red whilst the Rimmel one is more pink toned, but both are lovely and very similar to what Kylie has been seen wearing herself!
My final make-up favourite is this Showgirl mascara by Barry M. I actually picked this up on one of Boots' "spend over £7 and get this mascara free" offer and wasn't expecting much but I've been using it ever since! Usually Maybelline mascaras are my favourite but this one is equally as good and I will most probably repurchase it when it's finished.
Now for my song favourites yay!! First up is the soundtrack song from the new 50 Shades of Grey film (unlike most people I will NOT be going to see that film) called Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding. Such a catchy song that I always sing along to when I hear it on the radio. I've also been loving the beautiful song by G.R.L. called Lighthouse which is a beautiful tribute to their fellow bandmate Simone who passed away last year. The lyrics, as well as the video is so lovely, I honestly can't watch the video without tearing up. Well done girls. Lastly is a song by a guy who I've only recently discovered but instantly fell in love with his voice. Now mind he's only 16 (I think) but who cares about age? Talent has no limits. This song is called A Little Too Much by Shawn Mendes and I feel that a lot of people, especially young girls could relate to this song and the lyrics.
Go have a listen to all 3, I love them! Let me know your current favourites, and any future blog posts you want to see in the comments below x
Holy crap, I haven't posted in a over a month and I feel really bad so I do apologise profusely but life has just been in the way and I haven't found the time what with all the work I get from sixth and revising for mocks! But I'm back, and I have a review for you today! Now the Effaclar Duo is and has been for a long time a holy grail item amongst many beauty bloggers and youtubers etc. and now they've brought out an updated version of it, the Effaclar Duo + . I've been using the Effaclar Duo for about a year now and can only sing it's praises, so I was excited to try out the new (and better) version when I knew it was being released. And as you would predict, they have exceeded my expectations! This product clears up any problems you have with your skin, whether it be spots or redness. It even dries matte after applying which I find the original effaclar duo doesn't do as much, which I love. Even after the first day of using it, I noticed a difference in my skin which I find very rare. So even if you're a regular user of the normal effaclar duo, or you've never tried/or heard of this product beforeI highly recommend it, you'll never look back!
I haven't done a "monthly" favourites post for a few months and it's a bit late for November favourites so I thought I'd just do a round up of my current favourites. I recently purchased the naked 2 palette by Urban Decay and I have to say I love it, so many amazing colours and finishes you can created so many different looks! Also been loving the Bourjois happy light matte primer, and the Maybelline mega plush volume express mascara. Both great products I've been using everyday this month. Now we can't have favourites post without a nail polish! This textured one called "Countess" from Barry M is yet another one I have added to my ever growing collection, don't think there is anything out there in the market like this so I would highly recommend trying it out. My last two favourites are One Direction related (oops sorry). Firstly is their most recent book titled "Where We Are" and even if you're not a big fan of One Direction or don't know much about them, this book would be a great place to start to get to know them haha. And finally is the One Direction perfume "Our Moment". Whenever I wear perfume I always go straight to this one, Daisy by Marc Jacobs has taken a back seat for the moment, which is funny because Our Moment actually reminds me of Daisy.
Hope you're all having a good time in the current festive season, Merry Christmas! x
Just a few photos of the various nail art designs I've tried out over the past year or so. All painted by Moi, what do you think? Would love to get some feedback :)
This past week or so, Rimmel London have been running competitions on their facebook to win a different lipstick every day from their new moisture renew range and I won the colour As You Want Victoria! It came in the post pretty quickly and I tried it out straight away. This lipstick range has actually been revamped, so they claim to be more moisturising and more brightly coloured, but as I've never tried the previous collection I can't compare. What I will say though is that I do really like this lipstick. I don't really like matte lipsticks as they are just far too drying and don't look nice on me at all, so this being a "moisture renew" lipstick is obviously very handy! As You Want Victoria is a bright pink colour with reddish/purple undertones, and as it claims, is really moisturising! It glides on really easily and you don't need that much for a big impact. It lasts on the lips for a good few hours but eating and drinking isn't exactly the best idea as it rubs off quite easily! Overall I am really impressed with this new range and I'm excited to try out the other colours they have to offer - I'm looking at you Notting Hill Nude!
(L-R) Baby Lips in Peach Kiss, Rimmel London Apocolips Lip Lacquer in Nude Eclipse, Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Peach on The Beach, Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick in 05 and MAC lipstick in Snob
LUSH lip scrub in Bubblegum I've had this scrub for quite and while and I can honestly say it does wonders for my lips, especially in the winter. You just gently rub it on your lips and it removes the dead skin leaving them super soft! What I love about this scrub is that it tastes just like bubblegum and as it's only sugar you can eat it after you've rubbed it on your lips! (haha that sounds quite odd).
Vaseline Limited Edition in Pink Jubbly After I've used the lip scrub I pop some vaseline on and the one I'm using at the moment is this Pink Jubbly one. No need to elaborate much on Vaseline, I think everyone knows how great it is and how much of saviour it is when our lips need their moisture back!
Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss These are a new edition to the UK high street, even though they've been around for a long time in the US and I instantly wanted to try them. I have this one and I also have the mint fresh one but I prefer this one as it gives a tiny hint of colour with a bit of shimmer. This range is super moisturising and I also think the packaging is really cute. Winner!
Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in 05 These seem to be the "drug store" lipstick of the moment, and it's not really a surprise to me. These are the normal lipsticks which add a sheen and there are also the matte lipsticks in the collection. I much prefer the normal ones as they don't dry out your lips like matte lipsticks do. This lipstick is a lovely peachy pink colour which I wear quite often as it goes with most make - up looks and is just a really nice colour.
MAC lipstick in Snob I've been aware of MAC for a while, but never could justify paying a whopping £15 for a lipstick! But earlier this year I bit the bullet and picked the colour "snob". It's an amazing pink colour with blue undertones and is in the finish "satin" so glides on really easily and isn't drying. So glad I bought this as it's one of my favourite lipsticks!
Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Peach on the Beach There are so many different versions of the lip crayons I just didn't really know which one to try out, but after reading many blog posts and watch quite a few beauty videos that mentioned these ones by Bourjois, I decided to give them a go. This product has the pigment of a lipstick but the formula of a mix between a lipgloss, which I actually really like. The formula isn't drying at all and I think products like these are a little more wearable than lipsticks. I really want to try the other colours in this range!
Rimmel London Apocolips Lip Lacquer in Nude Eclipse This is one of my favourite current lip products. It's a mix between a lipstick and a lipgloss, and has long lasting wear. This one is a nude colour which is great with pairing with a smokey eye look, and I also have one in pink as well. They've just released new shades which I would like to try out as these little beauties are so worth it!
When I saw that Boots were releasing these little beauties, and after a little preview of what they looked like courtesy of the lovely Lily Melrose's blog post, I knew I had to try them! After all, Barry M is my all time favourite nail polish brand. Majesty is part of the new royal glitter collection and it is a mixture of gold and silver glitters and only takes two coats to make opaque. I didn't put a topcoat on because obviously that would defeat the point of this polish, but if you don't like the textured feel you could always add a topcoat on and it would still look good! I'm gonna put this out there, I think this is my new favourite polish of all time. I love glitter polish anyway but this just gives it an extra dimension and I think the collection is amazing. I really want the other 4 polishes now! And at £3.99 each, why not?!
Have you checked this collection out yet? What are your thoughts? x
I actually saw this nail polish on another blog post (I would link it but I can't remember who's it was, sorry!) and thought wow, I need to try that! So when I was in Boots the other day I picked it up to give it a whirl :) and I'm sooo glad I did. The main colour of this polish is purple, but it has an almost holographic effect so in certain lights it looks all sorts of colours, including blue, green and pink! When it's actually on the nails the under colour is a reddish orange which I wouldn't normally put with purple but it looks amazing! You need about 3 coats to get it opaque and to see the full effect of the holographic(ness) but it stays on really well and only chipped a tiny amount after around 5 days of wearing it which I don't think is that bad. Would definitely advise people to go out and buy this polish it's amazing!
Do you have any favourite nail polishes you can recommend? x

For my birthday I recieved a sample size of the Lancôme Hypnose drama mascara and I thought I would do a little review on it. Now I normally tend to just stick to one mascara, a few years ago it was a maybelline one but for the past year or so it's been the blow out mascara from 17. I don't know why I just don't tend to venture out of my comfort zone when it comes to mascara, but now I've tried this one from Lancôme I really want to buy the full size version! It really lengthens and volumes the lashes without clumping them, and the colour is not like a dim black, it's full blackest black which I love. I would really recommend this mascara, it's great!
Do you have a favourite mascara? Any recommendations? x
I've heard everyone rave about these maybelline colour tattoo eyeshadows but have only now tried one for myself! I bought the colour pink-gold which basically describes itself, it's a pinky/rose gold shimmer colour and I've worn it a couple of times already and think it is lovely. It is such a nice colour and I find that it does live up to the name "tattoo" as it does last all day. I've worn it on it's own, as well as a base colour before putting a shimmery brown colour on top which looks equally nice, and is good if you want to take it from a day to night look. I would definitely recommend these eyeshadows, and I will definitely be buying more as I have my eye on the colours And On Bronze and Eternal Gold.
Have you tried any of the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadows? x
So as you can probably tell by the title, I have dyed my hair purple. I was debating doing it all over, but I wasn't brave enough so dip dyed it instead! I've had blue dip dye before so thought, why not try purple?! I used the Schwarzkopf Live Colour XXL, which is a semi-permanent dye. On the packet it says it lasts around 6-8 washes, but if like me you don't wash your hair everyday, it will last longer. For the application I just put a old towel around my shoulders, divided my hair into four sections and put four plastic bands 3/4 of the way down my hair where I wanted the purple to start. It's really easy to apply and you only have to wait 30 minutes before you wash it off, although I will warn you that is stains very easily and gets EVERYWHERE so be careful! After that you just wash it off and apply the conditioner! I dyed it on Sunday and it has already started to faded but I guess that's to be expected, but I didn't use all the colour so if I want to top it up I can. I was scared about doing it at first but I love the colour so much, and they have other colours in the range as well so when this has faded I think I'll try those! I highly recommend!
Have you ever dyed your hair any extravagant colours or had dip-dye before? x
So last week I went to London for a few days for a sort of holiday, and of course I couldn't go to London without doing some shopping! The items I picked up are from Boots, Superdrug, Mac and Topshop. First I went into Boots and picked up some new Barry M polishes (quelle surprise). The first one is a gelly polish in the colour Greenberry. It's a lovely mint green colour and seeing that is my favourite colour, it's a wonder I haven't bought it before now! I then picked up a black multi glitter which I'm excited to try as I love glitter polish. Finally I picked up a neon pink limited edition polish. I love pink nail polish as I think it's such a staple colour and pink always looks great on nails. I then picked up this blue Topshop nail polish, my first one! I've never tried Topshop nail polish before but I'm currently wearing this colour on my nails and it's lovely! Such a lovely darkish blue colour but still wearable for summertime. In boots I also picked up the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo which is basically like a serum that reduces redness in your skin and makes your face look that little bit better (great explanation, I know). I picked up the Garnier 5 second blur primer which everyone has been raving about and just by luck it was on offer! I also picked up one of the Maybelline baby lips in peach kiss, after hearing so much about them from American youtubers. Finally in boots I picked up another Kate Moss lipstick, this time in number 16 which is a lovely light peachy pink colour! I already have 3 other Kate Moss lipsticks and think they are such a great drugstore product. I high recommend! I then went to Superdrug and picked up the contour kit from Sleek. Now I heard about Sleek a while back from youtubers like Zoella and Sprinkleofglitter but when I went into my local boots they didn't sell, so obviously they only stock it in the big superdrugs in places like London. Lastly I went to Mac and bought my first ever Mac lipstick! I chose the colour snob which is a lovely pink colour with a slightly blue undertone. I'm so glad I picked this one as it's such a lovely colour that you could wear day or night.
